Vita
Dr. Norbert Steigenberger is an Assistant Professor at the Jönköping International Business School in Sweden.
Dr. Norbert Steigenberger studied Business Economics at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Germany) and the Universitetet i Tromsø (Norway). From 2005 to 2011, he was a research and teaching assistant at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg and the Chemnitz Technical University. In January 2011, he received his doctorate from Chemnitz University for his dissertation thesis titled “Result Heterogeneity in Strategic Management Research Findings – Problem Analysis and Solutions”.
Between August 2011 and June 2016, Dr. Steigenberger was a Post-Doc researcher at the Seminar for Business Administration, Corporate Development, and Organization at the University of Cologne. He lead, among others, the projects "Decision-making in complex situations" and "Coordination in heterogeneous ad hoc teams". From September 2015 to June 2016 Dr. Steigenberger was also a guest researcher at Aalto University, Helsinki.

- Stability and change of management approaches in the course of mergers (supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft)
- Decision making in complex situations (in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger DGzRS, supported by the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung)
- Coordination in heterogeneous ad hoc teams (supported by the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, in the joint project Maritimes Simulatorennetzwerk (MAR-SimNET). Additional partners: Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger DGzRS, Rheinmetall Defense Electronics, Chair of Industrial Science and Innovation Management at TU Chemnitz.
